Understand the three things that can make the most difference to easing the Covid-19 lockdown and reopening South Africa with the least risk, whether you are using a taxi, socialising, working, working out, or running a shop.
Understand that we may be in for a long haul, adjusting our lives for at least the next few years.
Some of these changes may be permanent (and may be things we should have done anyway, for TB and seasonal ‘flu).
We need to enable businesses to survive, our institutions to open as safely as possible, while we live our lives as naturally social animals.
We cannot be saved by government policy alone – the things we can all do are what will save South African lives. And those things are pretty simple. . .
